[Part One] Standing on the edge of the sidewalk, you looked around. The street was unbelievably crowded with people dressed up in costumes.
You sighed heavily, weaving your way through to the other side of the street while trying to avoid the excited giggles you heard along the way. You failed miserably. Your attempt at sneaking into Comic-Con was a complete disaster.
The alley on the other side of the street was empty, which was a relief. After a long day of waiting in lines that were useless, you were hungry and this alleyway led you straight to your favorite diner.
You picked up your pace, eager to hide yourself away from all the excitement and forget about your numerous failed attempts.
The diner was quiet and nearly deserted but you weren’t surprised. This place would’ve been completely hidden if it weren’t for the small sheet of paper taped to the door that read “Lucky’s Diner”.
